Class Decription:
Three-hour, in-studio sessions that focus on how to work carefully and methodically through the acrylic painting process, from idea conception to finished work. Doug can teach you to craft a painting with a range of desired results - abstraction and subjective imagery, or a combination. Short and to-the-point lectures on paint, tools, color, composition, values, textures and art history are included in sessions as part of the natural flow of learning and painting practice.
Doug learns each student's experience, strengths & weaknesses, and overall goals. With this knowledge, Doug can provide the direct attention you need and the time for painting to achieve personal success.
